[Personality]

From how he was raised, Emil never had the chance to truly speak up for himself and always ended up following what others said as a way to avoid conflict. Although he may still apologize every now and then, it's not nearly as much as he used to. Through his stay in Somarium as well as the time spent back home though, he's learned this is no way to live through life. He has his own thoughts of what's right and wrong as well as responsibility. Though he may still flinch a little at conflict he's learned to stand his ground for what he believes in. The saying that Richter taught him about courage is something he takes to heart, fully believing in it.

He is still a very kind soul. He doesn’t like hurting others and dislikes violence. If he had his choice then he would prefer trying to talk someone out of what they're doing or at least learn the reasons why. Only then would he resort to fighting if there was no other way. Emil used to be your typical scaredy-cat but through his adventures has slowly learn to face up to his fears and insecurities, seeing that sometimes if you meet the problem halfway, things tend to work out much like how he was able to face his uncle and aunt making up with them both. Thanks to that he also gained true friends through his journey's and learned to open up more to them about things. Having known what it was like to have no friends, he values them all the more not wanting to lose or betray them if possible.

Living in Luin, he was the outcast of all outcasts. Everyone pretty much ignored him or mocked him. Because of this, his social skills are slim to none making him a bit socially awkward. Even with all of his adventures, his social skills are still a bit lacking as he’s easily embarrassed and often ends up either saying the wrong or too honest thing or flailing and not knowing what to say at all. Even with the awkwardness, his pure honesty is something that still carries through what he says. Most of the time it's his honesty that helps others get through things and what helped Marta.

If there’s one thing that’s definitely grown, it’s his determination. His search for identity was answered with him being the Summon Spirit Ratatosk, but also with memories of what he did just before turning into a core. The action that killed Aster, Richters best friend; Using Marta as a diversion to keep himself safe; The anger towards mankind. In his mind he's the only one that can atone for what he, his other self have done. Emil went as far as sealing his other self, locking him up by force in order to protect his friends and the world, despite feeling very guilty over doing so. He didn't think anyone deserved that, even Ratatosk. It was wrong. But, he made plans to use himself as a lock to the Ginnungagap as his way of atoning and taking responsibility.

There's not much that can make Emil mad as he generally is good at keeping his cool despite most of the chaos around and involving himself. Still if someone had to name a something it would be harming those important to him. He's willing to go to great length's to protect them. What hurts him most is that he knows the conflicts between what he feels is his responsibility and how he will potentially hurt all of his friends by doing so, knowing it's wrong but feeling there's no other way to keep them safe overall. Even before that decision, he dealt with the slowly growing fear of hurting someone he cares about or going too far in his Ratatosk-Mode. For the longest time this was a fear he actually kept to himself, not wanting to burden or trouble the others when he himself didn't really know what was going on. Though as mentioned before he's more open to his friends, but will still keep something from them if it's really important. As an honest person he's not that good at lying, but knows how to keep something to himself.

[Abilities]
Being the Summon Spirit Ratatosk allows him to channel powers and use skills that are otherwise not possible for a normal human and having regained pretty much all of his power, he's pretty strong. Also he can totally befriend monsters using the power of Ratatosk by making a pact with them.

[Other important stuff]
He’s actually a summon spirit with a human form. When he's "defeated" or has taken very critical damage, he transforms into his core-form to restore energy. Once that's shattered though then he will truly die.

Will also be keeping his memories from his previous stay.

[Sample post]
[First Person]
1.) If you could go back home, would you? Why or why not?
I would. I still have something that needs to be done but… I guess being here isn’t so bad all the time.

(Just wish Marta were here too...)

2.) Would you consider yourself a power hungry individual?
What? Power hungry?? N-No way, I’m the complete opposite actually.

3.) Someone comes to you to ask for the time. How would you respond?
Um, with what time it is I guess…

[Looking a bit confused here, like was there something he was supposed to say or was it a trick question?]

(These are some pretty weird questions... I don’t really get the point.)

4.) Do you stand up against authority, go against all odds, and if you could, pierce the heavens with your fighting spirit? If not, would you if you could?
Uh, I don’t know about the fighting spirit part but I would if there wasn't another way. I mean sometimes you need to right? Even if you don't really want to...

5.) Murder. What is your opinion?
It’s not right. It’s someone’s life at stake and it shouldn't just be taken .

[thoughts are leading mostly back to Aster... may look a bit guilty for some reason?]

6.) What is more important to you: having friends or living on your own? Why?
My friends. Living on your own, by yourself with no one else, it’s hard...

[Now that he knows what it's like, he doesn't want to give it up]

7.) The hottest boy/girl in class/workplace just confessed their love to you. How do you respond?
W-What?? Well I uh, appreciate the thought but I’d tell them I already have someone important to me.

[Is that a blush you see on his face? Yes, yes it is]

8.) What do you think of your home world?
It’s a nice place. I mean it still has some problems probably like everyone else's world but I think everything will work out.

[Just a kind smile]

[Third Person]

Waking up to finding himself in Somarium had been a bit disorienting, especially how he remembered being he before all at once. Almost more then that he was a bit shocked at first how he could really forget about this place and the people here. It was one thing to hear about it happening a lot before but to actually experience "waking up", it was a strange feeling. To be honest, it was still weird to him even after being here for a week.

Despite the disorientation, what really got to him the most probably was the fact that Marta was gone. The things she told him that he never really got the chance to talk about. One of the first things he did here was look for her name only to find it gone. It was nice though that Lloyd was still here and a few others that still remembered him but they didn't seem to remember what he did and that felt a bit lonely. All he could do was wait again for either him to wake up once more, for Marta to appear, or to find a way out willingly, whichever would come first.

Though there wasn't much he could do about it these thoughts would occasionally pop up every now and then. He would have to try and figure out more about this place then he did last time. Seeing as he might be here a while though, he managed to get settled in a cottage near the lake. There wasn't a particular reason other than it seemed nice and his previous cottage was already taken. It's location actually spurred his new hobby of fishing seeing as it was close by. It was a bit hard at first without Tenebrae but he slowly got the hang of it. He would spend most of the early morning relaxing with a rod while sitting waiting for a bite.

"Fishing again?"

A sudden voice snapped him out of his thoughts as he looked behind him. The guy was someone that always seemed to pass by the lake on his way to work and in turn pass by him as well.

"Yes I am." Emil replied with a smile. The man though almost seemed to sigh though in return.

"I don't get what you find so fun about it that you want to do it all the time."

"I guess I wouldn't call it fun either but it's something nice and peaceful to do."

"If you say so..." the man trailed off. He didn't seem to share Emil's sentiments but with another glance he spoke up once more. "Let me know if you catch anything, I might be willing to buy it."

What he said took him by surprise. Emil didn't really think the man would offer that.

"R-Really?"

"Would I mention it if I were lying?" the man replied almost jokingly; "I actually run grocery store on the edge of Espoir."

"Thank you!" the blond summon spirit almost let go of his rod as he jumped up from his seat in excitement. His new potential boss, having witnessed this just laughed causing Emil to feel a bit embarrassed but still smiling.

"No problem. How about you stop by when you're done fishing for the morning, it's pretty hard to miss."

Emil smiled and nodded at the man as he continued to onwards to his shop. The thought of something that might be considered a job was a bit exciting. Yeah, he still needed to find a way to wake up on his own; there was still something important that he needed to do even if time doesn't function normally. But that didn't mean he couldn't try and enjoy the time he spent here at the same time.

[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Much like last time, I want to see his growth as a character but also how his interactions might differ and his acceptance of how people leave with what it’s like.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] No god-modding

[Any questions?]
Nope! \o/
